ORIGINAL HUMAN ART
OHAThe essential creative parts of this product are free of artificial intelligence.
1. ART HAS AT ALL TIMES BEEN THE EXPRESSION OF THE HUMAN MIND
Over ten thousands of years, arts have developed in a constant interaction with the demands of life. They have been the expression of the human mind at all times.
Today, the products of art are effectively used in economic structures to assimilate people's attention and money.
If technical progress enables a systematic advantage in this structure, the market will align itself with it and reshape itself around it. The pressure of our money and debt system leaves the individual market participant - under this paradigm - no other choice if he does not want to be displaced by these forces.
2. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS NOT JUST A NEW TOOL
Outputs of a so-called "artificial intelligence" (AI) are outwardly indistinguishable from human works - therein lies their fascination. However, in their respective form, they do not originate from a human soul, from an authentic intention. Nevertheless, they trigger deeply anchored reactions and patterns in us, mostly unconsciously. Therein also lies the danger of new possibilities of subliminal influence.
The direct effect on the market is more immediate - especially where existing products are replaced: An illustrator, for example, can now train his own AI instance with the anthology of his works and henceforth deliver ten times as many, much more richly illustrated orders at half the price. What publisher would say no to that? And why should they.
In the following phase, however, the exploiters will no longer have a need for creatives anyway. Styles will be licensed or, even cheaper, abstractly synthesized.
But... what happens when, over years of generating content so machinically, the actual knowledge of how it was originally created is lost? Simply because no one draws and writes so much anymore, because no money can be earned with this activity? After all, art is first and foremost a craft developed over many years of practice.
What publisher, what broadcaster can do without the huge advantage of now being able to react to the market with a click - practically in real time - instead of years of lead times? And what we see now with text and images will surely soon be possible as video - live in 3D, merging with reality.
AI is not just a new tool, it can already completely replace essential parts of the creative process and, if used destructively, calls into question our very right to exist.
The potential for abuse of the ability to scale up to a single, central provider of AI technology, is just mentioned here as a side note.
3. MANDATORY LABELING OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
The use of AI offers such a great advantage in the market that the described, creeping processes of the erosion of human creativity will probably go without much attention.
It would take a labeling requirement for AI-generated content for us to even recognize this process.
As long as this labeling obligation does not exist, we can at least label our man-made works as such ourselves and thus generate attention for what will otherwise go unnoticed. This is the intention of the ORIGINAL-HUMAN-ART initiative. The sooner we become aware of this as humanity, the more we will be able to preserve of the original craft.
Without a doubt, AI offers immense possibilities that can also help creativity reach new heights. If we can create a perfect, individual media world for each person, life will certainly be very entertaining! If only we don't let everything human be cut away because the axe of money is screaming for it so loud in this phase.
